Rajya Sabha Elections 2022: MVA Alliance Setback In Maha, Here Is The List Of Winners

The Rajya Sabha Election 2022 to fill the 16 vacant seats in four states - Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Karnataka was conducted on Friday. The results were declared in the early hours of Saturday. Out of the 16 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party won eight, and Maharashtra's ruling Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance faced a setback in Maharashtra.

Here is the list of BJP winners Union minister Piyush Goyal, former state minister Anil Bonde, and Dhananjay Mahadik. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, NCP’s Praful Patel, a former union minister, and Congress’ Imran Pratapgarhi also won the elections.

Former MP Dhananjay Mahadik of the BJP defeated Shiv Sena's Sanjay Pawar for the sixth seat.

In Rajasthan, Congress won three seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party got one seat. BJP-backed Independent nominee Subhash Chandra lost. Congress candidates Randeep Surjewala, Mukul Wasnik, BJP's Ghanshyam Tiwari, and Pramod Tiwari were declared elected.

In Karnataka, Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Jaggesh, Lehar Singh Siroya of BJP, and former Union minister Jairam Ramesh of Congress were declared elected.

BJP's Krishan Lal Panwar and the BJP-backed Independent candidate Kartikeya Sharma won. Ajay Maken, a former union minister, lost.
