IRCTC Denies Selling Customer Data

The Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has denied media reports that it has been selling consumers' personal information. According to various media sources, including social media advocacy groups, the corporation is hiring a consultant, and both the company and the government intend to monetize passenger data. 

A top IRCTC official says that the corporation does not sell its data and has no plans to do so and that any media reports to the contrary are absolutely incorrect. He said that specialists are being hired to improve already-existing firms. The expert will also provide recommendations for new commercial ventures that IRCTC and Indian Railways may like to undertake in the near future.

On its own platform, IRCTC has established a variety of businesses, including train tickets, retiring room booking, hotel booking, air ticketing, bus booking, catering service, and so on. Similarly, IRCTC will establish a new sector on its own platform with assistance or direction from industry leaders, and it will be determined by the organization's higher authorities. Aside from the official declares, IRCTC does not keep any financial information about its clients on its system server because when a client makes an online payment for one of its various services, control is given to the relevant Payment Gateway or bank to complete the payment.
