The Mumbai Police have arrested five people for shooting pornographic videos with aspiring actresses, actors and models and uploading them on social media and other websites.
The incident took place on Friday in Mumbai, Maharashtra. According to police, the Crime Branch on Friday received a tip-off that a pornographic video was being shot at a bungalow in the Malwani area of Malad, Mumbai. The police raided the bungalow. Five were taken into custody.
The five include features two actors, a light man, a female photographer and a graphic designer. A woman was rescued from this porn video racket. The accused were found to be taking videos through mobile phones. Six mobile phones, a laptop and a camera worth Rs five lakh were seized from them.
Inspector Kedari Pawar said, "This porn video of amateur actresses, actors and models is part of a huge racket. They are cheating girls on the pretext of giving them a chance in movies and OTT series. The girls have been asked to sign an unconditional agreement with them and forcing them to act in porn videos. They are making money by selling those videos. The accused earned Rs 37 lakh in two years through porn videos,” he said.
