COVID Second Wave: Check List Of Indian Cities With Lockdown, Curfew

India is witnessing a sudden increase in the number of COVID19 cases. The government of India is taking all the measures to control the spread of coronavirus. Some of the states have imposed strict restrictions including night curfews, weekend lockdowns, etc. Here is the list of cities with lockdown and night curfew.

Odisha:

The Odisha government has imposed a night curfew in 10 districts of the state in view of the increase in the number of coronavirus cases. According to the reports, a night curfew has been imposed in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Nabarangpur districts from 10 PM to 5 AM.

Gujarat:

As per the Chief Secretary, Home Department, the Gujarat government has stated that the night curfew will continue in Surat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Vadodara till April 15, between 9 PM and 6 AM.

Punjab:

With each passing day, the number of coronavirus cases is increasing in the state. So, the Punjab government has decided to extend the night curfew to 11 such districts from 9 AM to 5 AM, including Patiala and Ludhiana. The curfew will remain in place from 9 PM to 5 AM.

Rajasthan:

According to the government orders, the night curfew will remain in place from 8 PM to 6 AM in Rajasthan. The state government issued guidelines stating that the number of people at social gatherings shouldn't be more than 100. Hotels and dining at restaurants during the curfew hours will not be allowed and home delivery of food is allowed.

Maharashtra:

Maharashtra is one of the worst affected states with coronavirus and the night curfew is from 8 PM to 7 AM. A complete lockdown has been announced on weekends. These rules have been in force from April 5; however, movement of essential services will be allowed during the said hours.

Delhi:

The night curfew is in place from April 6 as the number of COVID-19 cases is increasing in Delhi. The night curfew is from 10 PM to 5 AM and this will continue till April 30. The Delhi Government in an order stated that the night curfew has been imposed as there was a sudden increase in coronavirus cases and a high positivity rate. Officials added that during the night curfew hours, the movement of essential services will be allowed with e-passes.
