Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar are going to New Delhi on Monday after they got a call from the Congress high command.

According to the reports Siddaramaiah is likely to inform Sonia Gandhi and other central leaders of the party that he has not projected his name for the Chief Minister's post. It is all known knowledge that Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar have been at loggerheads after a few MLAs projected Siddaramaiah as the next Chief Minister candidate and some others favoured DK Shivakumar.

Shivakumar is also scheduled to leave for New Delhi on Monday to meet the central leaders of the party. The topic of the next chief ministerial candidate never dies down. On Saturday, in a meeting, Congress party workers welcomed Shivakumar by shouting slogans, "Next Chief Minister".

In the last month, Shivakumar had met Rahul Gandhi, Randeep Singh Surjewala, All India Congress Committee general secretary in-charge of Karnataka. Randeep Singh Surjewala also issued a statement warning leaders to avoid making comments projecting the party’s next CM nominee.
