Just as the Kannadigas were recovering from the scars left by Google, they were dealt with another blow. Amazon Canada is now facing their wrath since one of their goods, a bikini features the state's official flag colours.
Aside from Canada, the e-commerce website's handles in Japan, the United Kingdom, and Mexico also sell swimsuits. The design is, in fact, the Karnataka flag, according to the bikini's description.
The screenshot of the Bikini with the Karnataka flag design was widely circulated on various social media networks, resulting in widespread outrage.
BJP Political leader Arvind Limbavali expressed his displeasure on Twitter as well. "Recently, we were subjected to a Kannada insult by Google. Even before the scars had healed, Amazonia was putting the Kannada flag's colours and the Kannada symbol on women's clothing.
Praveen Shetty, a member of the Karnataka Rakshna Vedika (KRV), has called for a boycott of Amazon items. He informed the media that the Kannada flag is "a sign of pride for seven crore Kannadigas" and that "Amazon has made a tremendous error by hurting the sensibilities of millions of people all over the world."
