MUMBAI: Bollywood music composer Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid duo passed away on Monday in Mumbai and he was cremated at Versova cemetery later in the day. Many Bollywood stars and celebrities reacted to the news condoling his death social media platforms.

But as it turns out, Sajid and Wajid's mother Razina Khan is reorted to have been infected with coronavirus. According to a news portal, she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is undergoing treatment at Surana Sethia hospital in Mumbai. It was the same hospital where Wajid was treated for kidney-related issues before breathing his last on Monday.

The report claims that Wajid's mother had contracted the dreaded virus after the composer had tested positive for it. The 'Dabangg' music composer was earlier admitted to the hospital for throat and kidney infection but later, he had also tested positive for COVID-19.

Wajid's mother is said to be recovering well. She is believed to have been infected with the virus during her hospital visits for her son. She reortedly came in contact with the COVID-19 patients of the hospital.

Meanwhile, several Bollywood personalities expressed their shock at the demise of Wajid Khan at at young age of 42 years. Many recollected their fond memories with the composer, known for his bubbly and lively nature and a great sense of humour. India's Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in her tribute said that Wajid Bhai's smiling demeanour at all times will remain in her memories of the music composer.
