India’s vaccination drive crossed the 34 crore landmark. As per the report by the union health ministry and Press information bureau, a total of 34,00,76,232 vaccine doses were administered as of 3rd July 2021. 9.6 crore were administered in the age group 18-44 A total of 42,64,123 (42 lakh) doses were given in the past 24 hours.
After the country faced issues with a shortage in vaccine doses and other medical facilities, the pace of the Covid19 immunization drive in India has finally gone back up. But the numbers still need to increase. The current pace is relatively good when compared to May and June month. The centre is in talks with other foreign vaccine makers for supply in India, with that we will see a further boost.

“On Day-167 of the vaccination drive (1st July 2021), out of total 42,64,123 vaccine doses that were given, 32,80,998 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and 9,83,125 beneficiaries received 2nd dose of vaccine,” read the statement by PIB.

24,51,539 vaccine doses were administered as the first dose and 89,027 vaccine doses given as the second dose in the age group 18-44 years on 1st July 2021. Apart from that, the vaccination for 45 years and above is also going well.
