The much-awaited film Connect has hit the screens today. After a long time, Nayanthara has returned back to the silver screens with Connect. The film has been produced by her husband Vignesh Shivan. It has been receiving a positive response from several quarters.

Plot: Dr Joseph Benoy (Vinay) and Susan (Nayanthara) are doting parents to their only daughter Anna (Haniya Nafisa). Everything goes well in their family until one day when the coronavirus pandemic disturbs their peace. Dr Joseph succumbs to the virus, leaving his sentimental daughter shattered. Anna now decides to connect with her late father somehow. She takes the help of an occult practitioner to talk with her dead father. Horribly, she gets trapped and a demon enters her body. How Anna's mother Susan saves her forms the story.

Performances: Nayanthara's acting potential needs no intro. She is a show stealer in any film. In Connect, she is flawless as always. Her expressions and body language are worth watching. Sathyaraj, who is seen as Nayanthara's father, does a fine job. Haniya Nafisa is at her best. Others like Vinay Rai are good.

Anupam Kher plays a strong role and he has a full-fledged screen presence in the second half of the 93-minute film.

Verdict: 

Connect is a decent horror drama. If you are a fan of the genre, give it a shot. Nayanthara's fans will surely love it. Watch only in theatres to get CONNECT to the film.
