North Korea is a country with extreme rules and punishments. It runs under the dictatorship of Kim Jong Un. For the weirdest things, there are atrocious and unimaginable punishments. There have been many instances where a citizen was subjected to horrible punishment for an act they committed. One such incident has come to light recently, where a boy was caught watching porn and had to face horrible punishment.

A schoolboy was watching porn films at home when his parents went out for some work. He probably didn’t expect what would happen with him. While the boy only tried to escape from his parents, he didn’t think he would have to take care and be safe from the national authorities as well.

The North Korean police tracked the boy by tracing his IP address. They reached his home and caught him for watching porn. The punishment for watching adult content was not just faced by the boy, but also by his family.

The boy along with his family was sent off to the border area. They were banished from society. Some said that this punishment was at least tolerable as it was possible the boy would be hanged. This is not the end; there is more to the punishment. Even the school where the boy studied had to face the consequences.

The principal of the school was held responsible for the boy’s behaviour. This is under North Korean laws. If a student is caught doing something illegal, even the school will be punished. As a result of what the boy did, the school’s principal was sent to a labour camp.

Under Kim Jong Un’s dictatorship, North Korea faces strict implementation of rules. Distribution of pornography can get you capital punishment, even the death penalty. Entertainment laws are really strict in the country with no foreign content allowed.
