Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani Flees, Taliban in Control of Presidential Palace in Kabul

The Taliban is now taken over Kabul and with that, they now rule Afghanistan. Even President Ashraf Ghani fled the country which has left the people all alone. Over the past few days, the terrorist group has been taking over every major urban city and rural area in the country. Their target was the capital. Now that Kabul is under their capture, they rule the entire country.

People are in a panic state and have no idea what they should do now. It didn’t take much time for the Taliban to take full control. On Sunday night, they managed to capture Kabul. Many tried fleeing but in vain and even if they do, these people have nowhere to go. Citizens are flooding the airport in hopes of fleeing the country. They fear the total Islamic rule of the Taliban.

With President Ghani gone and all the major cities under Taliban, there is no stopping them. In just 10 days, the terrorist group has managed to bring the entire country under their rule. Ghani posted a statement on Facebook in which he explained the reason for his departure from the country and prayed for his people.

“Today, I came across a hard choice; I should stand to face the armed Taliban who wanted to enter the palace or leave the dear country that I dedicated my life to protecting and protecting the past twenty years. The Taliban have made it to remove me, they are here to attack all Kabul and the people of Kabul. In order to avoid the bleeding flood, I thought it was best to get out,” he wrote in the statement.

He further added that “Taliban have won the judgment of sword and guns and now they are responsible for protecting the countrymen's honor, wealth and self-esteem. They are now facing a new historical test; either they will protect the name and honor of Afghanistan or they will prioritize other places and networks. Many people and many Aqshar are in fear and are unreliable in the future. It is necessary for Taliban to assure all the people, nations, different sectors, sisters and women of Afghanistan to win the legitimacy and the hearts of the people.”

Ghani ended his statement with, “Long live Afghanistan.”

In the last 24 hours, the Taliban has been able to capture Mazar-i-Sharif and other areas in between. Taliban meticulously planned everything. They strategized their moves to understand what will be best. They put a lot of thinking into planning and understanding if talks will be better or force? Everything mattered to win. Every move was planned and their strategy was laid out.

Other superpowers and countries are trying to negotiate on behalf of both sides. They are trying to get the Afghan and Taliban government to reach an accord. But so far, there has been no success.
