Suchitra-Kompally Stretch Gets NHAI Nod

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has approved a new flyover in the northern corridor of Hyderabad. This approval has become a major boost for the 10 km stretch between Suchitra and Kompally junctions on National Highway 44 which connects Hyderabad and Nagpur.  

It has been fixed in the recent meeting of the Executive Committee of NHAI that the works shall be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 492 crore on Engineering, Procurement and Construction mode. A detailed project report for these works was already prepared by the Roads and Buildings Department.

The six-laning proposed project on the busy Hyderabad-Nagpur highway covers a total of 10 km with three flyovers at Suchitra/Dairy Farm junction, Cine Planet/Jeedimetla junction and Kompally/Dhoolapally junction along with four underpasses and also widening of junctions on the Suchitra-Gundlapochampally/Kompally route.

The officials of NHAI Hyderabad informed the Roads and Buildings authorities that it is soon planning to invite bids for the project.
