Emmy Awards 2021: After being virtual last year, the Emmy Awards 2021 marked a return to in-person award ceremonies, honouring the finest of television. Cedric the Entertainer hosts the show, which takes place at LA Live's Event Deck. Due to the pandemic, the event was moved to an indoor-outdoor location this year. Ted Lasso and Mare of Easttown were among the early winners at the Emmys 2021, winning supporting actor awards for a comedy and limited series, respectively.

At today's Emmy Awards, 'The Crown' was named Outstanding Drama Series, while 'Ted Lasso' was named Outstanding Comedy Series. The Outstanding Limited Series award went to 'The Queen's Gambit.' Josh O'Connor was voted best actor, and Jason Sudeikis was named Outstanding Actor (Comedy) (drama). Kate Winslet took up the award for Outstanding Actress (Limited Series or Film).
