Will new Telugu Serial Janaki Kalaganaledu Overtake Karthika Deepam in TRP?
A new daily soap titled ‘Janaki Kalaganaledu’ has managed to impress the television audience with its promos and has raised expectations with its very first episode broadcast on Monday. The show features Priyanka Jain of Mounaragam fame and Siri Siri Muvvali fame Amardeep in the lead roles.
Interestingly, actress Raashi will be seen playing the role of the male protagonist's mother while popular supporting actor Raja Ravindra plays the role of Priyanka's father in the show. However, the appearance of our Karthikadeepam Hima (Baby Sahrada) as Jr Janaki in the serial has brought cheers to the audience.
Highlights of the first episode
In the show, Priyanka essays the role of Janaki, a young girl who is the apple of her family's eye. She enjoys the love and support of her family especially her father who is ready to get her married to someone more educated than her.
On the other hand, Amardeep, after his father's ill health, works in a sweet shop. Though he wanted to become a police officer, Amardeep leaves his passion for his parents. He has the highest regards for his mother (Raashi) who, according to him gets the best for him. How the two different characters cross paths and the consequences thereon forms the crux of the story.
The story has a resemblance to the Bengali TV show 'Tomay Amay Mile' which was again loosely based on the Hindi show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'. Notably, this serial is the next outing of actress Priyanka who shot to fame with the show Mounaragam which went off-air recently.
