HYDERABAD: The biggies of Tollywood Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, D Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, SS Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas and others met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Friday to discuss on resuming the film shootings in Tollywood that have been halted due to the coronavirus stimulated lockdown. CM KCR said that it is very important to restart the shootings and other works related to the Tollywood film industry. KCR announced that the works related to the film industry would be revived in a phased manner. He said that everyone, while shooting should take preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus. He further added that the cast and crew should completely adhere to the lockdown restrictions. The shootings of the films will start sometime in June.
An official press release read, “The CM suggested that everyone concerned should follow the lockdown conditions, preventive measures to contain COVID-19 virus and conduct shootings strictly following self-regulation. The CM has instructed the officials concerned to prepare guidelines on how to conduct film shootings in the state.”
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli took to his Twitter and thanked Telangana CM KCR as he offered much-needed words of solace regarding re-starting the shootings of the film. Here is the tweet.
