SHINee’s Onew Has the Fans Worried For His Health
When SHINee’s Onew appeared thinner than usual in March, SHINee fans started to express their worries about his health. His frequent public appearances during that time showed him seeming considerably different than he has in the past, and made him practically unrecognisable. It was during the promotion for his first full-length album, Circle.
Even into his 30s, Onew maintained his thin frame and beautiful, round face. Fans hoped that he was taking care of himself and eating enough to keep healthy after many were shocked to see him with a considerably slimmer face.
Fans' concerns, however, have increased rather than decreased as a result of Onew's most recent public appearances. The SHINee leader has been seen in recently posted videos appearing even more slim than ever as SHINee's 15th anniversary celebrations and the release of their new album, HARD, on June 26, approach.
It appears that the concerns of the fans weren't in vain.
Onew visited a hospital on June 9 for unknown chronic health issues, and SM Entertainment announced that he would be taking a hiatus from group activities to focus on his health.
The SHINee fandom, also known as Shawols, have filled social media with messages of encouragement and best wishes for the K-Pop idol in the hopes that he would fully recover from whatever troubles him.
