Prabhas's 'Salaar' Bags Rare Honor, Wins 'Film of The Year' at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival

Prabhas' Salaar bagged a rare honour. The prestigious 'Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) Award' ceremony in 2024 honoured 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire' with the esteemed 'Film of The Year' award.

Both DPIFF and 'Salaar's' official Instagram pages shared the announcement on February 21, celebrating the movie's groundbreaking storytelling and historic win. The post reads, "Congratulations to the visionary team behind this epic saga. Your journey from imagination to the silver screen has set a new benchmark for excellence."

Directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel, the film boasts a stellar cast including Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriyaa Reddy. Released on December 22, 2023, 'Salaar' amassed over Rs 650 crore globally, marking a triumphant return for Prabhas.

The movie is set amidst a political struggle for Khansaar; the narrative intertwines a tale of friendship between Devaratha and Varadha Raja Mannar. Anticipation builds for its sequel, 'Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam'
