Vidya Balan Focuses On Short Film!

HYDERABAD: Bollywood actor Vidya Balan is a very talented and versatile actress in B-town. She loves to experiment with her roles and never steps back to present in a de-glam role. The 'Begum Jaan' actress is coming up with her short film ‘Natkhat’. She took to her Instagram and shared the first look of her upcoming short film. She captioned it as “Ek kahaani sunoge...?" Presenting the first look of my first short film as a producer and also as an actor." Heres is the post. Just have a look at it.

In the post, Vidya can be seen in a village woman avatar wearing a saree. She is seen lost in her thoughts while massaging her kid’s hair. Natkhat is directed by Shaan Vyas. Vidya Balan bankrolled the short film along with Ronnie and is trying to prove her mettle as a producer too. Be it Tumhari Sulu or Kahaani, she picks interesting and social-oriented scripts and makes the movies, an engaging one with her ace acting skills. 

A couple of days ago, Vidya Balan said that, "I'm happy and excited to share that a few days ago, I did my first short film as an actor. The film is called Natkhat and has me in a new role, that of the producer. I never had plans to turn producer but the story written by Annukampa Harsh and Shaan Vyas propelled me in that direction...Can't wait to share it with my world and hoping that it speaks to you like it did to me."

Coming to the movie front, Vidya will be next seen in the biopic of Maths genius Shakuntala Devi who is considered as the human-computer. The movie was slated to hit the theatres on May 8th but due to coronavirus lockdown, it has been postponed. Anu Menon directed the film and it has Sanya Malhotra and Amit Sadh in prominent roles. It will be soon released on the OTT platform.
