Vani Sri's Son Passes Away

CHENNAI: Distinguished South India actress Vani Sri's 36-year-old son Abhinay Venkatesh Kartik has committed suicide at his farmhouse in Thirukkalakundram of the Chengalpattu district on Saturday. He was working as an assistant professor in a medical college of Bengaluru. He was kept under home quarantine after returning from Bengaluru. It is reported that he was battling depression. He is survived by his wife who is also a doctor, their son, and his daughter. His last rites will be performed in Chennai.

Kartik had recently purchased a bungalow in Chennai and committed suicide in the same bungalow. Initially, it was suggested he had died due to a heart attack, and later it was confirmed that he committed suicide. Police have registered a case of suspicious death and are investigating it. Tollywood personalities expressed condolences to Vani Sri for the loss of her son.
