Peacocks can draw crowds either in the zoo or any other place. In India, Peacock is considered as the bird of protection and safeguarding. It is identified with Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. Most of the Indians keep peacock feathers at home as they believe that it would bring wealth and prosperity into the house. Peacocks are mostly found in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bhutan. Germain's Peacock - Pheasant:

Germain's Peacock - Pheasant is endemic to Indochina and it is found in the seasonal tropical forests of mid-southern Vietnam and far eastern Cambodia. Germain's Peacock can be found in Cat Tien National Park. These peacocks grow up to 60 cm in length with a crazy colour combination.

Mountain peacock-Pheasant:

The Rothschild's peacock pheasant, often known as the mountain pheasant, is a medium-sized blackish-brown pheasant with small ocelli and long graduated tail feathers that can grow up to 65 cm long. Both males and females look similar. The male has metallic blue ocelli on his upper parts,  green ocelli on the tail of twenty feathers, and two spurs on his legs. Females have black ocelli on their upper parts, unspurred legs, and an eight-feather tail.

Green Peafowl:

The green peafowl, also known as the Indonesian peafowl is a peafowl species native to Southeast Asia's tropical forests. The IUCN Red List has named it endangered since 2009 because its global population has been reducing. In the past, the green peafowl was widely distributed in eastern and north-eastern India, northern Myanmar, and southern China, Laos and Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Peninsular Malaysia, and the Indonesian islands. 

Malayan Peacock-Pheasant:

The Malayan peacock-pheasant commonly known as the crested peacock-pheasant or Malaysian peacock-pheasant is a galliform pheasant belonging to the Phasianidae family. It is one of the shortest-tailed peacock pheasants. An adult grows up to 50 cm in length and can weigh up to 700 grams. They are shy by nature and stay away from humans.

Indian Peafowl:

The Indian peafowl is also known as common peafowl and blue peafowl and is considered as the most beautiful peacocks in the world. This is native to the Indian subcontinent and it has a majestic look when it displays its feathers.  

Bornean peacock-Pheasant: 

The Bornean peacock-pheasant is found only in Borneo forests. Among the peacock-pheasant species, it is rare and unknown. Bornean peacock-pheasant can grow up to 50 cm and is shy by nature. Furthermore, Bornean peacock-pheasants are medium-sized birds that prefer lowland forest areas. It is one of the most distinctive peacock species in the world, with an extended crest and nape feathers.
