Telugu Reality Show Singer's Daughter Sexually Abused By Aunt, Husband And Relative
CHENNAI: In a horrific case of child abuse, the 15-year old daughter of a popular Telugu and Tamil reality show singer was sexually abused by her aunt, husband, relative, and a priest of a church in Chennai.
The incident came to light after the well-known playback singer who is currently residing in Hyderabad filed a complaint with Kilpauk All Women Police Station in Chennai. The four people have been booked by the police for their alleged involvement in the abuse.
As per details, the girl was staying with her aunt (singer's sister ) and was allegedly sexually abused by her aunt, uncle, and a young relative. The minor girl had also mentioned the name of a priest at a church in Kilpauk in her complaint who is said to have sexually harassed her. She told her mother that she was sexually abused several times over the past few years when she was staying with her aunt in Chennai.
Police have filed charges under several sections of POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and have initiated an investigation.
As per reports, the accused and the singer are trained in classical music and the accused is also an opera singer and part of a popular Gospel group. Both of them had converted to Christianity due to various reasons. Their father who passed away last year was a popular yesteryear actor, composer and singer.
