Mother of three gang-raped by her husband's friends in Vizag

At a secluded location near Thotoguruvu neighbourhood under Arilova police station in Vizag city, a 25-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by two inebriated men.

Visakhapatnam: At a secluded location near Thotoguruvu, under the Arilova police station in Vizag city, a 25-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by two inebriated men.

The woman was returning home from work on Saturday night when the event occurred.

According to Arilova police, the woman works as a wedding service girl and her husband is a cab driver. The couple is the parents of three children.

According to police, the woman and her friend arrived at the Isukathota area at about 11 p.m. on Saturday after work. The victim waited for an auto-rickshaw while her friend boarded a vehicle.

B. Venu and Shyam, two men on motorcycles, offered her a ride. Venu is her husband's friend.

She declined because the two were under the influence of alcohol. They did, however, drag her to a secluded location and raped her.

Arilova police have opened an investigation into her complaint and apprehended the suspect. The victim was sent to the hospital to undergo medical examinations. The case has been reported to the Disha police.
