IPL 2021: CSK Tops Points Table After Beating Mumbai Indians in Opener

IPL 2021 phase 2 is here. After the matches got canceled a few months ago due to many players and staff testing Covid19 positive, we are now back with the second phase of IPL. The first match was Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians. It was an exciting match.

In the first match of the UAE leg of the IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings defeated defending champions Mumbai Indians by 20 runs thanks to an amazing bowling display by the team. With this, CSK is now on top of the point table. They have 12 points from eight matches. It is Delhi Capitals in the second position, RCB on third, and Mumbai has gone down to fourth.

Mumbai was chasing the runs in the second innings, where Quinton de Kock’s performance put the team in a good spot. In the end, it was not enough and the CSK bowlers did well to put Mumbai Indians in a tough spot. CSK won the match by 20 runs.

Today the match will be between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. It starts at 7.30 pm IST.
