Hyderabad: Who Bought Balapur Laddu in Auction and For How Much?

The most popular Balapur Ganesh laddu fetched a whopping Rs 18.90 lakh in an auction held on Sunday. Two partners, Andhra Pradesh MLC Ramesh Yadav and Abacus Overseas Education Private Limited COO Marri Shashank Reddy, successfully bid for the 21-kg laddu.
Andhra Pradesh MLC Ramesh Yadav, who owed the Balapur laddu, said he wanted to give laddy to AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, the Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samithi did not auction the laddu last year and instead presented it to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.In 2019 Balapur local Kolan Ram Reddy owed the laddu for Rs 17. 60 lakhs.
