YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy To Discuss On Special Status To AP In Parliament Monsoon Session

The monsoon session of Parliament is going to begin from July 19 and will continue till August 13. The Monsoon session generally begins in the third week of July and ends before 15 August. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, "The parliament session will run for 19 business days."

YSRCP MP V.Vijayasai Reddy said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has already given directions on the strategy to be followed in the monsoon sessions of Parliament. Speaking to media, he reminded that YSRCP is fighting from the beginning to keep up all the promises that have been made by the centre during the state formation.

He said that there is no compromise on special status to the state. Vijayasai Reddy said that he would discuss the Polavarm revised estimates in the Monsoon session. He also asserted that he would speak on pending funds of Polavaram project. He further added that he would stress on the illegal projects undertaken by Telangana and will ask the centre to notify the KRMB limit. 

He said that AP government opposes the privatisation of the Visakhapatnam steel plant and said that Telangana government has to pay Rs 6,112 crore electricty bills. He asserted that he would discuss the Telangana bills to be paid to AP state in the Parliament. Vijayasai Reddy clarified that the electricity bills issue has been  brought to the notice of the centre for 12 times. He said he would seek the centre's approval for Disha Act and would ask for funding under PMAY for infrastructure in the Jagananna colonies. Vijayasai Reddy said that the tribal university was allotted in a non-tribal area and will ask to set up in Salur.
