YSR Pension Kanuka: This District Stands First in Pension Distribution in Andhra Pradesh
Vizianagaram district stood first in terms of distribution of social security pensions labelled as YSR Pension Kanuka to beneficiaries in Andhra Pradesh. On July 1, Saturday, an army of the Village and Secretariat volunteers distributed a record 90.31 percent of pensions at the doorsteps of the beneficiaries.
The volunteers began the process of disbursing the social security pensions at 6 in the morning. There are a total of 2,76,498 beneficiaries across the spectrum who get 14 different types of pensions. The volunteers have done a commendable job by distributing the pensions among 2,49,706 beneficiaries in a day, A Kalyan Chakravarthy, Project Director of DRDA said on Sunday.
Kothavalasa, Nellimarla Urban have recorded 94 percent coverage in pension distribution. While Vizianagaram Urban and Vizianagaram Mandal have seen a coverage of 93 percent and places like Bobbili Urban, Gurla mandals 92 percent, Datti Rajeru, Bondapalli, Denkada, L Kota, Therlam mandals have achieved 91 percent coverage of pension distribution.
