YSR KADAPA: YSRCP Honorary President YS Vijayamma stated that late YS Raja Reddy, father of former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, was an idealist while paying tributes to the leader on his 23rd death anniversary.

The family members gathered at YS Raja Reddy's tomb at the YSR Cemetery Gardens near the local Degree College Road in Pulivendula, YSR Kadapa district and offered floral tributes.

Along with YS Vijayamma,late YS George Reddy's wife YS Bharatamma and S Sivaprakash Reddy, YSRCP in -charge of Simhadripuram, Lingala Mandals, along with Christopher a close relative were present in paying tributes the leader.

They also laid garlands on the tombs of YS George Reddy, YS Vivekananda Reddy, Dr EC Gangi Reddy and other relatives. The event was attended by Municipal Commissioner Narasimha Reddy, Market Yard Chairman Chinnappa, YSRCP leaders Rasool, Jagadishwar Reddy, Parnapalle Naidu, Krishnama Naidu and others.

Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and former Rajampet MLA Amarnath Reddy laid flowers at YS Raja Reddy's grave on Sunday. Talking to the media afterwards, Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy while reminiscing about the late YS Raja Reddy, said that he very kind to the poor people and had told his followers and people to serve the poor people.

In 1998, the patriarch of the YS family, YS Raja Reddy was killed in a bomb attack by a rival faction group, just before the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections when the Telugu Desam Party was in power.
