U-turn Politics: Bro Changes Tune

17 Feb, 2024 20:12 IST|Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Be it the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Special Category Status or forming alliances with the party, the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has kept changing his stance over a range of political topics. However, one leader who is giving him a stiff competition is Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan. He’s slowly earning the new ‘U-turn’ leader nickname in state politics.

During his 40 years of political life, Naidu has formed alliances with several political parties whereas Pawan Kalyan has forged tie-ups with all the parties in the last 10 years. He changes his stand on hot topics so quickly that even the political analysts fail to predict his next move or statement.

Lately, the Jana Sena leader has been making U-turns on issues like AP’s volunteer system, Amaravati capital issue or Kapu reservation issue. During the TDP regime, the BJP-led Centre announced to provide a special package to Andhra Pradesh instead of according Special Category Status, Pawan Kalyan had criticised the decision of the saffron party and now both the parties are cosying up to the same national party for an alliance.

Top ranking officials of central intelligence agencies shared with me that the lakhs of village volunteers are collecting information about single, distressed women in the state and are sharing it with women traffickers,  Pawan Kalyan alleged during a public rally at Eluru on July 10, 2023

Jana Sena will challenge the volunteer system in the court, I am saying from the heart. I am ready for this, (CM) Jagan. The chief minister should have replied to my questions but the state government issued a G.O. and instructed the officials to file a defamation case against me. I am ready to go to jail, Pawan Kalyan stated on July 20, 2023
