TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) temple board has released an additional quota of the Rs 300 special darshan tickets. In a release, they said that additional three thousand tickets per day would be released till August 31.

Tickets were released after a technical glitch was corrected on the TTD  booking website. They stated that the release of tickets has been postponed from August 17 to 20 due to the holy days at the Srivari temple.

Meanwhile, the TTD officials had received complaints against some agents and travel agencies who were cheating devotees in the name of Srivari special darshan tickets. According to the complaint, Chennai-based Revathi Travels had collected money to pay for darshan tickets, Kalyanotsavam and special darshan tickets. TTD vigilance officials have lodged a complaint with the police and registered a case against the company, officials said.

The three-day annual Pavitrotsavams in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati will be observed from August 4 to 6 with Ankurarpana on August 3. This annual fete will be observed in Ekantam due to Covid 19 restrictions.
