Tragic end to bright academic career for Andhra student in US
In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh, died in a road accident in South Dakota’s Madison city in the United States. The deceased, identified as Achanta Revanth, was a native of Bodawada in Parchur Mandal of Bapatla district.
The unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when Revanth was travelling in a car with three friends to attend a birthday party. Due to bad weather conditions coupled with thick fog, the speeding car went off the road and turned upside down. The major accident resulted in severe injuries to Revanth and his three friends, however, the Bapatla resident succumbed to injuries.
The incident has left the family in shock and grief. According to family members, Revanth had completed his B. Tech. degree last December. He recently moved to the United States to pursue a Master's degree at Dakota State University in Madison city.
