TIRUPATI: The sacred 'ladoo prasadams' of Lord Venkateswara Swamy will now be available at subsidised prices at all the district headquarters in Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru cities from Monday.
A Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) official said that this facility was made available for devotees despite the COVID-19 lockdown. The laddu, which is priced at Rs 50 each, would be sold at subsidized price of Rs 25. It will be made available at TTD information centres and TTD marriage halls (TTD Kalyana Mandapams) in the specified areas.
The fresh stock would be transported from holy Tirumala hills a day before the existing stock is exhausted at the respective places, he added.
TTD authorities were perusing the matter with respective state governments for their approval in view of COVID-19 lockdown, the temple official added.
