Tirumala Srivari Hundi

Thursday, received a record-breaking collection of Rs 5.21 Crore, which broke the earlier December 2020 record collections of Rs Rs 4.39 Crore. This is the highest after the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple opened for darshan from June 8th after the lockdown rules were relaxed.

More than 50,000 devotees visited the temple and  25,466 devotees tonsured their heads and presented their hair at the Kalyanakatta.

Since the start of the COVID -19 pandemic, the Srivari hundi income declined sharply. Post the opening of the temple after the lockdown rules were relaxed there has been a steady rise in the number of devotees visiting Tirumala and also the rise in the hundi income collections.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board (TTD)  is also reviewing the situation from time to time as the number of devotees are gradually increasing. With the issuance of Sarva Darshan tokens along with the Rs.300 Special Darshan  tickets  there has been a spike in the number of devotees.

The TTD will conduct the five-day annual Srivari Teppotsavam at Swami Pushkarini from March 24-28. In view of Teppotsavam, the TTD has cancelled the Arjita Sevas (virtual) including Sahasra Deepalankara on March 24 and 25, and Arjitha Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara from March 26 to 28. As part of the TTD Board resolution  taken last month, the Ajitha Sevas  in Tirumala temple will resume from April 14 onwards.
