Hyderabad/Guntur: Tension prevailed outside the residences of the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu in both the Telugu states on Tuesday. Upset over denial of tickets for the forthcoming assembly elections, party leaders and workers staged massive protests in Hyderabad and Guntur. They raised the slogans when they were not allowed to meet the party leadership.

Supporters of TDP incharge Kotla Sujathamma held a dharna outside the residence of party chief Naidu at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. They demanded the TDP leadership to give the Alur assembly constituency (in Andhra Pradesh) ticket to the former legislator Sujathamma. The police stopped the supporters entering the premises of Naidu’s residence. Raising slogans against the police, the party workers said they came to submit a representation to Naidu requesting him to allocate the seat to Sujathamma from Alur assembly seat.

In Guntur, the supporters of former Kadiri MLA Attar Chand Basha protested outside Naidu’s residence in Undavalli neighbourhood. The leadership has announced Yashoda, spouse of Kandikunta Venkata Prasad from Kadiri assembly segment. However, the supporters of Chand Basha protested the party’s decision and demanded it to reverse the seat allocation decision. The party workers stopped the convoy of Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh to press their demand, however, he did not pay heed to their demand and left the place.
