Ongole: Differences have emerged in the TDP-Janasena combine in Ongole district weeks before the elections in the state. All is not well between the alliance partners as janasainiks are upset with the working style of former TDP MLA Damacharla Janardhan Rao,which is being seen as political one-upmanship.

Earlier, the TDP-Janasena combine held its first coordination meeting to chalk out a road map for the future election campaigns in the district. However, Damacharla not only came late to the meeting by 3 hours but also ignored the Jana Sena leaders present there.

During the second coordination meeting, janasainiks were not even offered chairs to sit by the TDP leaders. The third coordination meeting was conducted at the TDP office on Thursday. Few key leaders of Jana Sena, who were earlier humiliated by the ally, skipped the important meeting. Jana Sena leaders reportedly were not happy with Damacharla for calling the shots.

Jansainiks have accused Damacharla of breaking their party into two factions to weaken the party in the district. They also said the TDP leader is meddling into the party affairs. Damacharla is allegedly promoting Jana Sena’s district president Shaik Riyaz while ignoring the party’s leader Rayapati Aruna, who was recently attacked allegedly by her own party members. The latest buzz among the political circles is that the TDP leader has created a storm in a teacup.

The rank and file of Jana Sena Party is also not happy with the seat distribution for the upcoming polls. They were expecting 2-3 assembly seats in the undivided district but got zero seats. The party cadre is demoralised and have apprised the party leader Pawan Kalyan about the current political scenario in the district.
