Guntur: Tension prevailed in Guntur West constituency on Sunday night as activists from the TDP and Jana Sena parties attacked and vandalized the newly built office of Minister Vidadala Rajini. The activists pelted stones at the office building, tore political banners and flexis, and smashed glass windows and mirrors.

Following the attack on her office, Minister Rajini addressed the media and strongly condemned the vandalism. She said the attackers cannot intimidate a BC leader like her. She termed the incident a ‘pre-planned assault’.

“The attack appears to be pre-planned as the perpetrators brought stones to carry out vandalism. No one responsible will be spared. They are resorting to vandalism out of frustration and fear of losing elections. The police have already detained some suspects and are interrogating them," Rajini told reporters.

She also said you can imagine what will be the condition of the state if these elements ever come to power. I entered politics to serve people. As long as I have the public's support, I will deal with any coercion and threats. This attack on the office of a BC woman minister also exposes the hypocrisy of Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh who claim their support to the BC community, the YSRCP minister added.
