AMARAVATI: YSR Congress Party President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy completed one year in office on Saturday. YS Jagan has reformed and revolutionised welfare in the history of the state by implementing his most popular 'Navaratnalu', a basket of unmatched schemes. With these, and many more unique initiatives, YS Jagan's government in the state has emerged as a 'people-friendly and 'pro-welfare' government in its one-year rule, in stark contrast to the previous TDP regime.

In the last one year in power, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had left both his admirers and critics in awe by implementing more than 90 per cent of the promises made in his election manifesto as his schemes were aimed at the welfare of the underprivileged and all other sections of the state. While many governments across the country struggle to fulfill what they promise, the dynamic chief minister of Andhra Pradesh showed the country the way on not just 'how to walk the talk' on the promises made but even implement new schemes much to the delight of the people.

YS Jagan's one-year rule is also unique for showing his unswerving commitment in bringing about a myriad of reforms besides implementing his developmental agenda with steely resolve even when the legacy of steep debts left behind by the previous TDP government was staring in the face. During his one-year rule, YS Jagan had taken many decisions with an all-encompassing perspective to improve the living standards of all the sections in the state.

Unnerved by the distressing financial scenario prevailing at the time of assuming power in the state, he firmly pushed ahead with plans to accord utmost priority to education, agriculture, health and medicare, women and child welfare, and many others by implementing a high number of schemes that most governments would shudder even to think. Completing one year in office, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stands today with his head held high, having accomplished more than 90 percent of the promises that he has made in YSRCP's election manifesto.

As someone known for his relentless and tireless efforts and single-minded focus, the young chief minister, already praised as one of the best in the country, is now looking forward to fulfilling the remaining electoral promises in due course of time.
