Pawan Kalyan is under fire from Kapus for destroying their political dreams

Vijayawada: Pawan Kalyan is under fire from the Kapu community for settling for only 24 assembly seats and three Lok Sabha seats despite being in an alliance with the Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP for the forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the state. 

Senior Kapu leader Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah could not contain his displeasure over the ‘raw deal’ meted out to Jana Sena in the TDP-Janasena alliance. He said he was disappointed the way Pawan Kalyan had closed the deal with the coalition partner. 

Through his open letters in the past, Jogaiah had been demanding 40-60 assembly seats for Pawan’s party. He was also seeking a share in the state cabinet and added that Naidu should share the power with Pawan Kalyan for the remaining two and half-year term. 

Meanwhile, Adapa Seshu, Kapu Corporation Chairman also criticised Pawan Kalyan for agreeing to the seat-sharing formula introduced by Naidu. Blaming Pawan for destroying the dreams of Kapu community, Seshu said the Jana Sena leader has hurt the pride of the community. He added that Naidu is notorious for betraying the Kapu community and he has once again proved this by taking advantage of the Jana Sena leader’s political inexperience.
