Close Shave for Andhra Minister Ambati Rambabu

Khammam: Andhra minister Ambati Rambabu on Thursday had a narrow escape after a sack of wheat slipped from the wheat-laden lorry and fell on the car in which he was travelling. In the freak accident, the bonnet was slightly damaged and the YSRCP leader escaped unhurt. 

The incident took place on the outskirts of Sathupalli on Thursday evening. According to details, after a brief collision with an oncoming vehicle the rope of the Visakhapatnam-bound wheat-laden lorry broke and a sack full of wheat fell on the minister’s vehicle. The alert driver immediately halted the car and the minister got off the vehicle and continued his journey in a separate car. The matter was reported to the Sathupalli police which subsequently detained the lorry driver and questioned him.
