Kapu Leader Jogaiah Reacts on Jana Sena-TDP Seat-sharing Formula

Vijayawada: Cracks have started appearing in opposition ranks ahead of ensuing assembly and lok sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. Jana Sena Party’s chief Pawan Kalyan has claimed that the alliance partner is not following the alliance dharma and announcing the names of candidates without conducting any coordination meeting over the seat-sharing agreement.

Amid dissension in Jana Sena’s rank and file as Pawan Kalyan is playing second fiddle to Naidu, Senior Kapu leader and former minister Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah has asserted that Naidu should follow coalition dharma. He said it’s appropriate for the TDP to unilaterally announce the candidates for Mandapeta and Araku segments. To counter TDP’s move, Pawan Kalyan unilaterally nominated the party candidates from Razole  and Rajanagaram constituencies.

In his open letter, the senior Kapu leader has urged the Jana Sena Party leadership to demand 50 assembly seats and 6 MP seats as part of an alliance with the TDP.

“Jana Sena Party should seek at least 50 assembly seats and 6 MP seats in the ensuing elections. Pawan Kalyan should not agree to 20-30 seats as it will hamper his aspirations of becoming a political force in the state. Jana Sena leaders who lost in 2019 elections are ready to try their luck at the ballot box yet again,” he opined.
