'Jana Sena Became Dhana Sena'

25 Mar, 2024 16:05 IST|Sakshi Post

They say a man is known by the company he keeps and it is true in the case of Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan who seems to have picked a couple of traits from his election partner and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

The recent candidates lists released by Naidu showed how the party leadership betrayed hard workers and gave most of the tickets to wealthy leaders. One can see a reflection of Naidu’s strategy for picking the candidates in Jana Sena’s ticket aspirants.

As part of the seat-sharing agreement, Jana Sena is contesting 21 assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats in the May 13 elections. Pawan Kalyan has, so far, released the names of 18 candidates. He fielded two BC candidates from Anakapalli and Narasapuram constituencies while no representation was given to other communities like Setty Balija, Gowda, Eastern Kapu, BC Velama, Yadava, Boya, Kuruba and Cheneta.

With 12 seats, the OC community has been given a lion’s share by the party. Only one woman leader is contesting the election on Jana Sena’s ticket while the minority community finds no mention in the list of candidates. The buzz within the party is that wealthy members were given preference while distributing the tickets for upcoming elections.

Supporters of Jana Sena leaders like Bollishetty Satya, Kiran Royal, Ka Hariprasad, Panchakarla Sandeep, Usha Charan, Bollishetty Satyanarayana, Bonaboyina Srinivas Yadav, Rayapati Aruna, Pithina Mahesh, Mutta Sashidhar, Sheik Riyaz, Johnny Master, Pitani Balakrishna are unhappy with the leadership for sidelining the loyal party workers for the assembly elections.
