With the announcement of the poll schedule by the Election Commission, political activities have begun in Andhra Pradesh. Major political parties are busy chalking out plans for election rallies and roadshows to connect with the voters in the state.

The list of candidates announced by the parties for the 175 assembly seats has aspirants from various walks of life – farmers, ex-sportspersons, film actors, industrialists, businessmen, politicians, doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers and journalists.

Among them, there are six candidates who not only belong to the political families but they are also the successors of the former chief ministers of united Andhra Pradesh.

1. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, S/o. YS Rajasekhar Reddy (Pulivendula, YSRCP)
2. Nandamuri Balakrishna, S/o. NT Rama Rao (Hindupur, TDP)
3. Nadendla Manohar, S/o. Nadendla Bhaskara Rao (Tenali, Jana Sena Party)
4. Nara Lokesh, S/o. N Chandrababu Naidu (TDP)
5. Ram Kumar Reddy, S/o. Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy (Venkatgiri, YSRCP)
6. Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy, S/o. Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy (Dhone, TDP)
