Nellore/Nandyal: TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu faced backlash for his controversial remarks comparing murderers to police during public meetings in Nellore and Nandyal districts on Friday.

During his Praja Galam addresses, Chandrababu Naidu made contentious statements equating murderers to police personnel. He criticized the state police department, alleging that they file cases against those who oppose the government, involve the CB-CID, make arrests, subject detainees to beatings and torture, and even attempt to kill some of them.

Naidu promised to introduce 'work from home' opportunities and skill development programs (he was arrested last in the skill development scam) to create employment if his party is elected to power. He vowed to incorporate technology into the agricultural sector to make it more profitable.

The TDP leader reiterated his contributions to Hyderabad's development, including the establishment of Hi-tech City, the Outer Ring Road, and the airport. He emphasised his expertise in technology, the cell phone industry, and the power sector.

Naidu faced embarrassment when people failed to turn up for his public meeting in Kavali. He was forced to wait in his bus for over an hour. Party leaders and workers are reportedly dissatisfied with the TDP ‘s choice for Kavali constituency, Kavya Krishna Reddy. Laters, allegations surfaced that slips from the 'Rajarajeshwari Ice' company were distributed, offering Rs 500 to the attendees who were brought to the venue in auto-rickshaws, despite the presence of police and election surveillance personnel.
