Heavy rains have been lashing several districts of Andhra Pradesh over the past few days. Heavy rains have not only inundated several low lying regions but also thrown life out of gear.
Rivers in many districts are overflowing due to incessant rains. In a latest development on Friday, an RTC bus was struck in flood waters at Rajampet. In order to save their lives, a few passengers climbed atop the bus. Rescue mission is currently underway.
Meanwhile, fifteen people drowned in the Cheyyeru river. Due to heavy rains, the Cheyeru river was in spate and some fifteen people are said to have drowned in the river on Friday.
Similarly, 10 people were trapped in the Chitravati river of Anantapur. Rescue operations are underway.
