AP Curfew Extended Till June 20

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to extend the curfew currently in force across the state as part of COVID control measures till June 20. As per the decision, the curfew will be relaxed from 6 am to 2 pm and would continue for the next 13 days.  Government offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday conducted a review on COVID prevention measures at his camp office in Tadepalli. The review meeting was attended by Deputy CM and Medical Health Minister Alla Nani and COVID Task Force officials. With the current lockdown ending on the 10th of this month, CM YS Jagan reviewed the situation in the state and decided to extend the curfew for another ten days.

AP recorded 8,976 new cases, taking the COVID-19 tally to 17,58,339. The state witnessed 90 more fatalities, pushing the death toll to 11,466. As per the late data available, the State has 23,426 active cases as per the health bulletin released on June 6. The total number of recoveries has reached 16,23,447 as 13,568 more patients won the battle against the deadly contagious virus.
