AP CM YS Jagan Reaffirms Commitment to Corruption-free Governance

AMARAVATI: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the government took responsibility in providing welfare schemes for all sections despite the looming pandemic conditions and stood by the public welfare. 

During the motion of thanks to the Governor's address, the Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to transparent, accountable and corruption-free governance and said that the manifesto is like a Holy Book and added that his government has fulfilled over 95 percent of its promises, taking welfare to the doorstep of the beneficiary with no corruption or discrimination. He stated that in the last 23 months the State government had directly credited Rs 93,708 crore in to the beneficiaries accounts and indirectly spent over Rs 31,714 crore on schemes of sampoorna poshana, free power to farmers, Goru Muddha and many more, totalling to Rs 1.25 lakh crores.

The Chief Minister stated that the government has taken initiatives in strengthening the education system by revamping the government schools, providing English medium education, besides supporting them with welfare schemes like Vidhya Deevena, Vasati Deevena, Amma Vodi, and Vidhya Kanuka. He said that the true development comes with women empowerment, where the government has kept its word in truly empowering women by assisting with schemes like YSR Aasara, YSR Cheyutha, YSR Sunna Vaddi Runalu and YSR Sampoorna Poshana.

Affirming that 62 percent of the State population is still relying on the Agriculture sector, the Chief Minister said that the government has been supporting farmers by all means through Rythu Bharosa Kendras, providing seeds to pesticides right at the village level. He said that the government is also providing input subsidy, insurance to their crops, crop loans at zero interest rate and also supporting them in getting remunerative prices for their crops.

The Chief Minister said that good governance has resulted in tremendous victory in all polls, nearly wiping off the opposition. He said that in a first-of-its-kind gesture, the government released a welfare calendar for public knowledge detailing the implementation schedules of the state’s welfare schemes for the 2021-2022 fiscal starting from April 2021 to February 2022.
