AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be on a tour of the national capital Delhi on Tuesday. He will be meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Jalashakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat during this visit.
The Andhra Pradesh chief minister is expected to brief Amit Shah about the COVID-19 preventive initiatives being implemented by his government in the state. He is also likely to highlight the large-scale testing of samples for coronavirus which is being taken up in Andhra Pradesh.
YS Jagan is also expected to discuss with the Union home minister a wide range of issues related to the coronavirus crisis and the offshoot difficulties of lockdown which has hugely dented the state’s revenues and economy. The two leaders may also deliberate on aspects like the mass evacuation of migrant workers to their respective home states besides issues pertaining to the state.
Later in the day, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister will also call on Jalashakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat to seek Centre’s support for issues related to state’s interests.
