YS Jagan International Nurses Day Message in Telugu:

International Nurses Day|The world celebrates International Nurses day on May 12 and honours nurses for their selfless dedication and service to society. Their role has increased since last year, when the COVID-19  pandemic struck the world, causing them to work round the clock while putting their lives at risk to save others.

History| In 1953, Dorothy Sunderland, a US health, welfare and education department official, first proposed to proclaim a “Nurse Day” to President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The day was first celebrated by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) in 1965. Since 1974, it is being celebrated on May 12 as it marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, known as the founder of modern nursing.
