Amaravati: Days after TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu joined the BJP-led NDA and forged an alliance with the saffron party for the upcoming Lok Sabha election and the assembly election in Andhra Pradesh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made some senationa comments on Naidu on Friday.

Participating in the India Today Conclave 2024 in New Delhi, Amit Shah said Naidu realised his mistake after leaving the NDA bloc and came back to us. Replying to the query of moderator that Naidu had called PM Narendra Modi a terrorist in the past and yet he was welcomed into the NDA fold, Amit Shah said, “Naidu did call PM Modi a terrorist and quit the NDA. We did not ask him to leave the alliance. He lost assembly elections in the state. He realised the blunder of leaving NDA and came back to it, so we accepted him.”

Interestingly, Amit Shah’s response has made it clear that the TDP leaders were lying about BJP’s invitation to rejoin the NDA. The TDP friendly media were misleading the people saying Naidu had put some conditions before the saffron party for rejoining the BJP-led alliance. The BJP’s top leader’s statement makes its amply clear that fearing poll rout, the TDP’s senior leader begged for the NDA membership.
