AMARAVATI: Novel coronavirus cases continue to rise in Andhra Pradesh as 66 more people tested positive for the virus on Sunday taking the
total number of cases to 2,627. Of the cases reported in the last 24 hours, a total of 17 people who had returned from foreign countries to the state have tested positive for the virus.
According to the media bulletin released by the government on Sunday, 11,357 samples were tested between Saturday 9 am to Sunday 9 am of which 66 tested positive for the dreaded virus. As of now, 3,46,326 samples have been tested in the state. The patient recovery in the state stood at 68 percent.
Eleven persons who have travel history to Koyambedu market in Tamil Nadu also tested positive.
Meanwhile, 29 persons got discharged from hospitals across the state in the past 24 hours taking the total number of discharged in the state to 1,807. With this, the active cases stand at 764. No death was reported in the state.
