Lok Sabha Speaker Omprakash Birla lauded the services rendered by Vizianagaram MP Bellana Chandrasekhar in the wake of the public outcry over the coronavirus outbreak. To this end, a letter from Lok Sabha Speaker Omprakash Birla was released by MP Bellana Chandrasekhar in her office on Friday.
In his letter, the Lok Sabha Speaker said that MP Bellana Chandrasekhar had rendered valuable services by visiting hospitals regularly during the first, second and third wave of the coronavirus pandemic boosting the morale of the people. He said that the MP had spent Rs 30 lakhs to set up an oxygen plant at the district headquarters to meet the oxygen shortage in the district.
In this regard, MP Bellana Chandrasekhar said that it was his responsibility to stand by the people when the coronavirus epidemic struck. He also said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, leaders and state representatives were to remain easily accessible to the people in times of distress.
